The Island Tales Writing Challenge

Next Chapter is proud to announce the launch of The Island Tales Writing Challenge, an opportunity for Cayman Islands residents to share their imagination through the power of storytelling.

Whether you're an experienced writer or putting pen to paper for the very first time, this challenge is your chance to create, explore, and tell a story that's uniquely yours.

Who, what, where?

The Island Tales Writing Challenge is open to any and every Cayman Islands resident aged 8 years and up!

We will provide several writing prompts to get the creative juices flowing and ask that each entrant writes a short story based on ONE of those prompts.

Don't exceed the word limit; and keep it clean!

When will it start?

The competition will begin on

30th June, 2026.

The deadline for submissions is 11:59 PM on 31st August, 2026.
